How To Fade Surgery Scars

I believe that our scars are beautiful. They tell a story and show our strength. I am proud of my surgery scar. It shows a huge part of my life and set me on a path to find my passion in health and wellness.

After surgery my surgeon gave me some great tips on how to take care of my scar and help it heal. Now my scar is hardly visible. The area is still sensitive but I think that is just how it will be from now on. It's not unbearable but does get a tickle from time to time.

In this video I share what has helped me and I show the products that I have used. Click on the link below to watch.

My 6am Morning Routine

I was never a morning person growing up. Actually to be honest I hated waking up before 10am! As I've grown older I have realised the value in rising early.

It has now become a favourite part of my day. I have created a routine that gives energy, purpose and balance. I think it is especially important to create a sacred morning routine during these times of isolation and uncertainty. By creating daily habits you will set yourself for daily success.

In this video I give you a peek inside my morning routine and rituals.

Staying Healthy & Fit With Hypothyroidism

Knowing where to start on your health and fitness journey can feel overwhelming. After struggling with hyperthyroidism over the summer I felt like my body and mind needed a transformation. I have used this time in isolation to do just that.

I set myself some attainable goals and have been challenging myself to achieve these each day.

Lunette Menstrual Cup Review - Do They Really Work?

Environmental sustainability is becoming a phrase we are hearing more and more in our everyday lives. With the recent push for consumers to be more environmentally conscious we are seeing a wave of old everyday items being reinvented to help minimise waste and consumption.

A company leading the way in reusable feminine hygiene products is Lunette.
Founded in Finland by Heli Kurjanen, Lunette was created for the safety, ease and comfort of all women. With a message of female liberation, Lunette has found international success.

Many women across the globe do not have access to feminine hygiene products.
Lunette has teamed up with many charities to help give women a voice and access to cups.
Read about how Lunette are giving back here:

So let's talk about the benefits of making the switch to menstrual cups.

Environmentally Friendly - Making the switch will benefit the planet. No plastic, no cotton, no waste!
Savings - Menstrual cups are reusable so the more you use them the more money you save. The average women spends about $200 a year on feminine hygiene products. One menstrual cup will last you years. Think of all that money you will save!
Non-Irritating - they do not cause dryness or irritation. Cups are made from medical grade silicone so are safer to use than rayon or bleached cotton tampons (yes you read that correctly...BLEACHED!) Who wants to be putting something that has been bleached into the most absorbent part of your body? NOT ME!

Lunette menstrual cups come in 2 sizes. The silicone is super flexible and easy to fold. This makes them easy and comfortable to use. The cup is held in position by a seal that is formed when inserted. There is a stem at the bottom that can be used for removal or trimmed for more comfort. Inserting and removing is a little more invasive than standard feminine hygiene products however with practise you will see that they are easy to use. The environmental benefits alone are enough to make the switch if you ask me.

Where can you purchase Lunette?

Lunette Menstrual Cups can be purchased from Boots in the UAE.

*The Lunette Cup was gifted to me by Tish Tash Pr Dubai

DIY Natural Deodorant - 3 Ingredient Recipe

I am so conscious of what I put on my body. There are so many harmful chemicals in everyday products that can be purchased at the store. After being diagnosed with a thyroid disorder I decided to take matters into my own hands and eliminate as many toxins from my home as possible.

Everything we put on our skin is absorbed into our blood stream. The chemicals used in many beauty products have been linked to diseases and health conditions.

I love making my own beauty products as it gives me the control over what I am putting on my body.
This easy DIY natural deodorant recipe works a charm. It's fun to make, lasts all day and smells great.

I hope you have fun creating your own blend.

Why You Need To Be Using Essential Oils

I use essential oils everyday. My love for them started when I was pretty young. My Mum had the most amazing essential oil kit and I loved smelling all the different scents. She would always give me a handkerchief with a few drops of eucalyptus oil to sniff if I had a cold, or would place a drop of lavender on my pillow to help me sleep.

Why I Don't Wear Deodorant

I try to live as close to a natural, holistic lifestyle as possible. Many everyday products are full of harmful chemicals. Having Graves' disease and taking 7 different tablets (yes 7 :(...) full of chemicals daily has already left my body in a state of shock. Because of this I always try to find products that are as natural as possible.

I love to workout in the morning. It makes me feel awake and energised for the day. Every morning I have been reaching for my Scunci headband. It keeps my hair off my face and is really comfortable. Scunci have a great range of workout accessories. The headbands are my favourite and complete my workout outfit.
